The Coast RV Steel Chassis Mount Battery Box is designed as a direct-fit upgrade for Jayco caravans built mid–late 2021 and definitively from 2022 onwards that were factory-fitted with a welded-on chassis battery bracket.

This upgraded steel battery box allows owners to remove the smaller original factory box and install a larger unit capable of housing higher-capacity batteries while still using the existing factory welded bracket.

This box will only accept batteries within the base size limits below.
Please measure your battery base before purchasing.

 Brackets must be welded to the chassis prior to installation.

1. Weld bracket to chassis (if not factory fitted).
2. Hook battery box over welded bracket.
3. Secure using M8 nuts and bolts (not supplied).

Yes, the Renogy Mini 12V 300Ah Lithium LiFePO4 Battery will fit the Coast RV battery mount box. The Renogy 300Ah battery has a smaller base footprint than its overall width, and the Coast battery box was purposely designed to suit this battery, allowing it to fit correctly as shown in the video.

Q: Will this fit my Jayco caravan?
It suits Jayco caravans built mid–late 2021 and 2022 onwards that have the factory welded battery bracket.

Q: Can I install two battery boxes?
Yes. If your van has a double welded bracket, two boxes can be mounted side by side.

Q: Are mounting bolts included?
No. M8 nuts and bolts are required but not supplied.

Q: Can this be installed without welding?
No. If your van does not have the welded bracket, a compatible bracket must be welded to the chassis first.
