Q: What’s the job of this solenoid valve?
It’s the electrically controlled water valve in your toilet flush system. When you activate the flush, a 12V signal opens the valve, allowing water to flow. When deactivated, it must seal fully to prevent leaks.

Q: Is installation difficult?

1. Disconnect 12V supply and water.

2. Remove the old valve (disconnect wiring & plumbing).

3. Mount the new valve in correct orientation (90°).

4. Reconnect hoses and wiring.

5. Test flushing and check for leaks.

Q: Is this the right valve if mine is straight (not 90°)?
This version is the 90° outlet model. Some older toilets used straight (inline) valve types (e.g. part 23709). If yours is straight, this 90° variant may not align or seal correctly.

Q: What if I have a C260 or other model?
This same valve model (90717) is used in Thetford C260 / C500 / C263 toilets after certain manufacturing dates.
